The 1880's to the 1920's
From the upbringing of the building, businesses came and went in this location. A meat market was at 124 W. Wisconsin Ave from 1880 through 1940 (Gottfried Ullrich Meat Market, then Lewis Meat Market and finally City Meat Market). In 1888, the William Kellett dry goods store moved to 120 W. Wisconsin Ave. Mr. Kellett had partnered with Ed Jandrey to help his business. After Mr. and Mrs. Kellet's deaths, Ed Jandrey purchased their shares of the business and it became Jandrey's. There was office space above these businesses which housed several dentists including G.N. Ducklow and H.C. Schultz.
